Senior Cost Analyst

About the role

Worley is seeking a Senior Cost Analyst to lead cost management for large‑scale engineering and construction projects. The role combines budget development, performance tracking, and financial forecasting to ensure projects stay within financial targets while supporting sustainable energy initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Establish comprehensive project budgets using the Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) covering labor, materials, and equipment.
• Perform trend analysis and early identification of cost deviations.
• Prepare rolling forecasts, cash‑flow projections and PCS updates.
• Utilise Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics such as CPI and SPI to monitor real‑time project health.
• Develop and update Estimate‑at‑Completion (EAC) and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Quantify, track and report change orders, variations and claims.
• Produce weekly and monthly financial dashboards for senior management.
• Provide technical guidance to project control staff and review work for accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with Worley and client cost‑control standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in cost control, cost analysis or project controls on engineering/construction projects.
• Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary, medium‑to‑large project portfolios.
• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with clients and senior stakeholders.
