Chef De Cuisine - Char

About the role

The Chef de Cuisine – Char will be accountable for the overall success of daily kitchen operations at a restaurant in Muscat. You will combine hands‑on culinary talent with strong leadership to deliver high‑quality dishes, enhance guest and employee satisfaction, and manage the operating budget.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a wide range of foods, including special guest menus and char‑grilled items.
• Develop, design and update menus and recipes while maintaining brand standards.
• Supervise all kitchen areas, ensuring consistent, high‑quality output and compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Manage purchasing, receiving, storage, and inventory control to optimise cost and waste.
• Maintain and troubleshoot kitchen equipment, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
• Implement environmentally friendly processes for energy use and waste management.
• Lead, coach and develop kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and mutual respect.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations and brand safety standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of culinary, food‑and‑beverage experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel & Restaurant Management (or related) with at least 2 years of experience.
• Proven ability to manage day‑to‑day kitchen operations and lead a diverse team.
• Strong focus on guest satisfaction, employee development and budget control.
