Demi Chef de Partie – Seasonal

About the role

The Mandarin Oriental Muscat is seeking a motivated Demi Chef de Partie on a seasonal basis to support its culinary team. You will work in a luxury hotel kitchen, assisting the Chef de Partie and ensuring high‑quality preparation, plating and food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie with daily duties and cover their responsibilities during absences.
• Wash, peel and prepare ingredients, maintaining the highest quality for dish production.
• Prepare mise en place according to the standards set by senior chefs.
• Follow plating guides to ensure correct presentation, cooking method and dish description.
• Manage ingredient requisitions, storage and inventory checks to avoid stock shortages.
• Label and store ingredients in appropriate containers, preserving freshness.
• Maintain clean and sanitized work surfaces, tools and utensils in line with food‑safety regulations.
• Adhere to strict personal hygiene and support overall kitchen cleanliness and maintenance.
• Comply with Mandarin Oriental food‑safety standards and Muscat municipality regulations.
• Support other outlets, banquet operations and attend required meetings and trainings.
