General Manager - Finance Operations

About the role

The General Manager – Finance Operations will lead and safeguard the day‑to‑day financial activities of be’ah. This senior position is accountable for enforcing accounting policies, internal controls, and statutory compliance while driving working‑capital optimisation and finance digitalisation.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and monitor a robust financial control framework across receivables, payables and fixed assets, ensuring compliance with IFRS, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Lead internal and external audit engagements, ensuring timely closure of all audit observations and recommendations.
• Develop and execute working‑capital management strategies to optimise the cash conversion cycle, including aggressive receivables collection and vendor payables engineering.
• Direct the preparation of the annual operational budget, monitor departmental variances and provide consolidated financial inputs for long‑term corporate planning.
• Oversee all accounts payable and receivable functions, including vendor payment management, ledger reconciliations, credit‑card administration and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Enforce strict controls over fixed‑asset lifecycles, from pre‑capitalisation reviews to periodic physical verification and disposal governance.
• Own finance digitalisation initiatives, continuously improving and automating ERP finance modules to increase transaction efficiency.
• Manage the Finance Operations budget, controlling cost‑center variances, headcount costs, system licences and resource optimisation.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (MSc) in Accounting and Finance or an MBA.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate accounting or financial operations, with 5‑7 years in a senior leadership or departmental management role.
• Proven track record in financial governance, statutory audit closures, working‑capital management and ERP optimisation.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CMA, CIMA, CA or equivalent is desirable.
