Graduate Safety Engineer

About the role

The Graduate Safety Engineer position is an entry‑level role designed for fresh or early‑career engineers. Working under supervision, you will apply fundamental engineering principles while gaining practical exposure to safety standards, regulations, and project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day engineering activities such as data collection and preparation of technical documents.
• Participate in design reviews, peer checks and assist in identifying technical issues.
• Provide recommendations to senior engineers and help evaluate possible solutions.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project scope, timelines and quality requirements are met.
• Assist procurement tasks including preparing material specifications, reviewing vendor documents and supporting bid evaluations.
• Support site activities such as construction, commissioning and operational support.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental (HSE) and quality standards.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives and adhere to engineering best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering.
• Basic understanding of engineering standards, codes and industry practices.
• Omani nationality (Omanization role).
• Ability to work under supervision and collaborate with internal teams, clients and vendors.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
