Partnership Associate – Lending Partnerships

About the role

The Partnership Associate will build and manage Graystone Capital’s relationships with banks, private credit funds, non‑bank financial institutions and other lending partners. The role involves identifying and onboarding new partners, presenting client financing proposals, guiding them through underwriting and overseeing the transaction until disbursement. It is a structuring and execution position rather than a sales role, requiring strong credit and financial‑statement expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, approach and onboard regional and international banks, private credit funds, NBFIs and other lending partners.
• Establish and maintain formal partnership arrangements and act as the primary point of contact for each lender.
• Understand each partner’s credit appetite, sector focus, ticket size, pricing and documentation requirements.
• Review client financial statements, management accounts and projections to match financing proposals with suitable lenders.
• Prepare and present credit proposals, respond to lender queries, and coordinate term sheets, documentation and conditions precedent.
• Manage the full transaction cycle from submission through approval, execution and disbursement, escalating delays as needed.
• Maintain an accurate pipeline of transactions and partner activity, reporting regularly to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable KYC and AML requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline; CFA or ACCA is a plus.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in banking, credit, private credit, debt advisory or financial‑institution coverage.
• Strong ability to read, analyse and interpret financial statements and solid understanding of credit assessment and lending products.
• Experience working with credit, risk or underwriting teams at banks or lending institutions.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
