Project Services Manager

About the role

SGS is seeking an experienced Project Services Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team on a major oil & gas project in Oman. The role focuses on establishing robust project controls, ensuring cost‑effective delivery, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Project Services team, coordinating across operations, engineering, and construction.
• Establish and maintain project controls for cost, schedule, quality, performance, and reporting.
• Develop annual delivery plans, budgets, forecasts, and manage CAPEX budgets, cost estimates, and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Monitor performance, produce KPIs, dashboards, and management reports.
• Manage project risks, changes, and mitigation plans.
• Oversee document, drawing, and data management, handover, and close‑out activities.
• Ensure compliance with HSSE, quality assurance, company, and regulatory standards.
• Support audits, compliance reviews, and timely closure of audit actions.
• Coach and develop team members to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• BSc in Engineering Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 years of oil & gas experience, including at least 6 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience in brownfield project controls, cost and schedule management, and project handover.
• Strong background in document/drawing and data management.
• Demonstrated leadership and coaching of diverse teams.
• Technical Authority Level 2 (TA‑2) is desirable.
