QA/QC Engineer – Oil & Gas Projects

About the role

We are seeking a QA/QC Engineer to lead quality assurance and control activities on oil and gas projects in Oman. The successful candidate will ensure that all work complies with international standards and project specifications, while coordinating with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage QA/QC activities for oil & gas projects, including preparation and implementation of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), quality plans, method statements and inspection procedures.
• Review material certificates, welding procedure specifications (WPS), procedure qualification records (PQR), NDT reports and inspection records.
• Raise, track and close non‑conformance reports (NCRs) and coordinate corrective actions.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors and third‑party inspectors to ensure seamless quality execution.
• Maintain comprehensive QA/QC documentation and compile final quality dossiers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable ASME, API, ASTM, ISO standards and project specifications.

Required profile

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6–9 years of hands‑on QA/QC experience in oil & gas projects (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and piping inspection, welding, NDT and quality documentation.

Required skills
