Senior Audit & Assurance Professional – Oman

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an experienced Senior professional to join its Audit & Assurance team in Oman. You will work on complex audit engagements, supporting clients across various industries while upholding Deloitte’s high standards of quality and integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust and credibility with stakeholders by understanding their expectations and service level requirements.
• Deliver high‑quality audit services, applying knowledge of regulation, risk management and business processes.
• Prepare and adapt referral instructions, clearly defining audit scope and focus areas.
• Liaise with onshore and offshore Centers of Excellence, ensuring accurate and complete information exchange.
• Track deliverables from component auditors and integrate risks, controls, procedures and findings into the audit file.
• Articulate audit quality milestones and contribute to overall audit quality assurance.
• Prepare documentation that anticipates reviewer questions and distinguishes accounting from auditing judgments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in audit and assurance engagements at a senior level.
• Strong understanding of regulatory impact, risk management and internal controls.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and offshore teams.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on delivering complete and accurate audit work.
• Willingness to develop relationships beyond the finance function to enhance audit insight.
