Senior Planning Engineer

About the role

OMANRenco is looking for a Senior Planning Engineer to support a major energy‑sector and real‑estate/infrastructure project in Oman. The role will provide senior‑level planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting across all project activities, ensuring effective programme controls and timely identification of schedule risks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and monitor detailed project schedules and planning programmes.
• Track actual progress against planned activities, identify delays, critical paths and schedule risks.
• Prepare progress reports and planning updates for project management and stakeholders.
• Coordinate planning information with engineering, construction, procurement and other project teams.
• Review contractor programmes and progress submissions, analyse performance and recommend corrective actions.
• Support the preparation of recovery programmes and mitigation measures when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related planning/scheduling qualification.
• Minimum 10 years of planning, monitoring and reporting experience, with at least 6 years in the Middle East.
• Proven experience on major real‑estate, infrastructure or comparable projects.
• Strong understanding of project controls, schedule management and progress reporting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Primavera P6 or comparable professional planning/scheduling software.
• Advanced project planning and scheduling capabilities.
