Senior Sales Engineer - Heavy equipment

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Engineer to strengthen the heavy‑equipment sales team of General Engineering Services – GENSERV in Oman. The role reports to the Sales Manager and is responsible for generating revenue by selling and marketing a range of construction machinery such as excavators, wheel loaders, motor graders, telehandlers and more.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit quotations, lead technical and commercial negotiations, secure orders and coordinate delivery.
• Visit assigned territories, conduct customer and site visits, generate leads, track projects and tenders, and maintain relationships with main contractors.
• Recommend suitable equipment and attachments, deliver product demonstrations and cost‑benefit analyses, and prepare technical presentations.
• Maintain accurate customer data and sales activities in the CRM and collaborate with the after‑sales team to address service requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial or Automotive Engineering or equivalent.
• 5‑7 years of sales experience in construction or heavy‑equipment sector within Oman, with a proven track record of meeting sales targets.
• Valid Oman or GCC driving licence and willingness to relocate to any company branch as required.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of heavy‑equipment product lines (excavators, wheel loaders, motor graders, backhoe loaders, telehandlers, forklifts, crushers).
• Ability to conduct product demonstrations, prepare cost‑per‑ton and total‑cost‑of‑ownership analyses.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
