Head of Building Construction

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Building Construction to lead the delivery of large‑scale building projects across Oman. This senior leadership position reports to senior management and is responsible for the full project lifecycle, from pre‑construction to handover, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Building Division and oversee multiple high‑value construction projects.
• Provide strategic and operational direction across all project phases.
• Manage Project Managers, Construction Managers, and site teams to meet safety, time, budget, and quality targets.
• Control project planning, resource allocation, budgeting, forecasting and commercial performance.
• Drive continuous improvement, operational excellence and best‑practice adoption.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, local regulations, company policies and HSE standards.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Monitor financial performance and project profitability.
• Mentor and develop multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience delivering major building projects, with at least several years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of managing multiple large‑scale projects simultaneously in the GCC.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Deep understanding of construction methodologies, project planning, risk management and HSE best practices.
