Head of Global Network Banking – Oman (Omani Nationals Only)

About the role

HSBC is seeking a senior professional to lead its Global Network Banking (GNB) franchise in Oman. Reporting to the Head of Global Network Banking MENAT and the Head of Banking Oman, the role will drive growth, profitability and client satisfaction across the bank’s international subsidiary network.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the GNB business supporting international subsidiaries and a portfolio of corporate clients.
• Drive revenue growth and profitability through proactive relationship management and close collaboration with risk, product partners and global relationship managers.
• Lead, motivate and develop the GNB team, providing strategic direction and day‑to‑day guidance.
• Create succession and development plans by identifying and nurturing talent.
• Maximise revenue and customer value at both portfolio and individual relationship levels, ensuring seamless account opening and credit approval.
• Formulate and execute business and product strategies to acquire new‑to‑bank business, deepen wallet share and retain existing clients.
• Develop, implement and communicate the Country Management Plan with clear objectives for all employees.
• Promote a client‑centric culture, handling client engagements, complaints and issues as required.
• Collaborate with other CIB countries and product groups (GTS, GPS, MSSE) to leverage the HSBC group network for clients.
• Ensure delivery of appropriate products and services that meet customer needs and deliver fair outcomes.
• Maintain the quality of the lending book in line with group standards.

Required profile

• Omani national.
• Extensive senior‑level experience in corporate or global network banking.
• Proven leadership and team‑development capabilities.
• Strong relationship‑management skills with a track record of revenue generation.
• Ability to work closely with risk, product and global relationship teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
