Network Engineer (Muscat, Oman)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our client’s IT team in Muscat. The role focuses on maintaining and evolving the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure reliable, secure connectivity across all sites.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine data‑centre activities in line with industry standards.
• Monitor and manage IT hardware and network infrastructure.
• Implement, configure and monitor the corporate network, including VLANs and VPNs.
• Provision and de‑provision user accounts, handling authentication, authorization and password management.
• Configure and maintain antivirus solutions, firewalls, IDS/IPS, Unified Threat Management and DLP devices.
• Update rule sets for firewalls, IDS/IPS and other security appliances.
• Manage virtual server connections and SAN storage solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in networking, information technology or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on networking experience.
• Mandatory certifications: ITIL Foundation, CCNA and CCNP.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
