Proposal Engineer – Water & Wastewater Treatment

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Proposal Engineer to develop competitive technical and commercial proposals for water and wastewater treatment projects across the Middle East. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, sales, suppliers and clients to deliver cost‑effective, compliant solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse tender documents, specifications and client requirements to create comprehensive proposals.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates covering equipment, materials, labour, logistics, subcontracting, installation and commissioning.
• Develop technical documentation such as process descriptions, equipment selections, execution methodologies, schedules and commercial offers.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations, technical data and delivery schedules.
• Ensure proposals meet GCC regulations, international standards and client specifications.
• Support the sales team during client meetings, presentations and technical clarifications.
• Maintain a database of suppliers, equipment specs, pricing and previous proposals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in proposal engineering within the water and wastewater treatment sector.
• Strong understanding of water treatment processes, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering, sales and procurement teams.
