Senior Material Engineer – Pavement & Laboratory Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Material Engineer to join our civil engineering team, focusing on pavement structures, materials, and testing. The successful candidate will ensure the quality and performance of materials through rigorous laboratory and field activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth material testing and analysis to verify quality and performance.
• Design, implement, and oversee laboratory testing procedures.
• Provide technical advice on material suitability based on project specifications.
• Support laboratories in estimating measurement uncertainty in coordination with the department head.
• Document test results and evaluate laboratory performance.
• Implement and maintain quality‑control systems to prevent deviations.
• Carry out site inspections, participate in audits, and ensure compliance with OHDS standards and regulations.
• Verify corrective actions for identified non‑conformities and communicate technical issues affecting quality.
• Develop research procedures and propose solutions to technical challenges.
• Share knowledge with colleagues and internal customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of standards, guidelines, laws, and group regulations related to material testing.
• Analytical thinking with a solid technical understanding and affinity for numbers.
• Experience conducting material tests and interpreting results.
