Vice President – Financial Planning, Analysis & Control

About the role

The Vice President – Financial Planning, Analysis & Control (VP FP&A) will be a key member of Oman Air’s Finance Division, advising the CFO and executive team on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and strategic decision support. The role drives the transformation of the FP&A function into a digitised, insight‑driven centre of excellence that underpins the airline’s profitability and growth agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual budget and medium‑term financial planning processes across all business units and cost centres.
• Develop and maintain rolling forecast models that incorporate fuel prices, capacity changes, yield trends and macro‑economic variables.
• Implement zero‑based budgeting where appropriate to enforce cost discipline.
• Provide financial analysis for route profitability, fleet acquisition, code‑share agreements and ancillary revenue initiatives.
• Partner with Commercial, Operations, Engineering, HR, IT and SCM leaders to embed financial discipline in day‑to‑day decisions.
• Prepare board‑level and investor‑facing financial presentations and management reports.
• Champion the digitisation of FP&A through modern planning tools, automation and self‑service dashboards.

Required profile

• Extensive senior finance experience, preferably in the aviation or transportation sector.
• Proven track record of leading large‑scale budgeting, forecasting and performance‑management programmes.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable strategic insights.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to interact with C‑suite and board members.
