Alternative Fund Manager

About the role

Jabal Asset Management is looking for an experienced Alternative Investment Fund Manager to take full responsibility for the oversight of private‑equity feeder funds. The role covers valuation review, fund reporting, investor servicing, governance, operations, and performance accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead periodic review of underlying private‑equity funds, including financial statements, capital account statements, valuation reports and GP reporting.
• Challenge and validate valuations of portfolio companies, assess methodologies, assumptions and market benchmarks.
• Monitor fund‑level performance, commitments, capital deployment, realizations, distributions and liquidity.
• Engage regularly with underlying fund GPs and investor‑relations teams, tracking material developments and producing monthly investor newsletters.
• Serve as primary contact for feeder‑fund investors, handling calls, meetings and detailed queries on performance, valuations, capital calls and distributions.
• Prepare semi‑annual investor reports and presentations, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all client‑facing materials.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing alternative investment or private‑equity feeder funds.
• Strong ability to review and challenge valuations and financial statements.
• Excellent communication skills for investor and GP interactions.
• Detail‑oriented with a track record of maintaining robust documentation and audit trails.
