Audit Associate – Assurance Services (Oman)

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an Audit Associate to join its Audit & Assurance team in Oman. In this junior position you will support the delivery of high‑quality audits, apply risk‑based methodologies and contribute to client engagements that drive sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Perform risk assessment procedures and evaluate material misstatement risks.
• Execute audit fieldwork in line with Deloitte’s Global Audit Imperatives, methodology and tools.
• Prepare audit documentation, formulate judgments and deliver timely, informative audit outputs.
• Ensure compliance with auditing standards, local regulations, ethical requirements and the firm’s quality‑control procedures.
• Collaborate with senior team members and maintain effective communication with clients.

Required profile

• Degree in accounting, auditing or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience through internships, summer positions or school projects.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and written communication abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and work both independently and within a team.

Required skills

• Knowledge of applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, local GAAP).
