Business Development Manager – Risk Management

About the role

Marsh, a global leader in insurance broking and risk management, is expanding its presence in Oman. The Business Development Manager – Risk Management will drive growth by prospecting, nurturing, and securing new business with large corporate clients across the Omani market.

Key responsibilities

• Leverage an extensive network of contacts within large Omani organisations to generate new sales.
• Understand client needs and present innovative risk‑management and insurance solutions tailored to the Omani market.
• Analyse market and industry trends specific to Oman and define sales strategies to capitalise on local opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional client service and ensure compliance with Omani regulations.
• Work alongside colleagues from Mercer, Oliver Wyman & Guy Carpenter to bring the full value of Marsh McLennan to clients.
• Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets, contributing to Marsh’s overall growth in Oman.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of direct sales experience, preferably in insurance or risk management.
• Proven track record of prospecting, nurturing and closing deals with large corporate clients.
• Experience in the Omani insurance and risk‑management market and familiarity with local regulatory frameworks is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Strong business acumen and ability to understand complex client needs in the Omani context.
• Willingness to travel within Oman as required.
