Card Compliance Officer

About the role

We are seeking a senior Card Compliance Officer to lead end‑to‑end governance of payment scheme regulations and ensure full regulatory compliance across our Card Services ecosystem. The role bridges Visa operating regulations, local Central Bank of Oman (CBO) directives, and operational project delivery for both card issuing and acquiring functions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and implement Visa quarterly scheme updates, mandates and CBO regulatory directives.
• Lead cross‑functional compliance projects involving IT, Operations, Risk, vendors and processors.
• Act as the primary liaison for Visa scheme audits and regulatory examinations.
• Validate Visa scheme fees, optimise charges and prevent non‑compliance penalties.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of operational breaches and execute corrective action plans.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of experience in Card Services, Payments, Compliance or Operations.
• Strong expertise in operating regulations and payment frameworks.
• Proven track record in managing compliance‑focused projects within a banking environment.
• Experience covering both card issuing and acquiring environments.
