Chemical Processes Operator

About the role

Jinnan Middle East Mining SAOC is hiring a Chemical Processes Operator for its Iron Ore Concentration Plant in Sohar, Oman. The operator conducts laboratory testing, chemical and physical analysis, sample management and beneficiation tests to support iron ore processing and production optimisation. The role suits candidates with 0-2 years of experience and relevant technical education.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out laboratory testing and chemical and physical analysis
• Manage samples and run beneficiation tests
• Support iron ore processing and production optimisation
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, sample traceability and test reports

Required profile

• University or college degree in Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical discipline
• 0-2 years of relevant experience; candidates with relevant internships are encouraged to apply
• Basic knowledge of laboratory testing, chemical analysis, mineral processing or beneficiation is an advantage
• Willingness to work in a site-based industrial environment
• Ability to follow laboratory safety procedures and use PPE
• Willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts: 2 day shifts, 2 night shifts, then 4 days off
