Civil Engineer – Solar IPP Project

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join the Technical Advisory Team supporting a utility‑scale solar Independent Power Producer (IPP) project. The role involves providing specialist civil engineering input from site development through to tender evaluation and contract negotiations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide civil engineering input for the Project Definition Report and conceptual layout of the solar IPP.
• Assess site suitability, ground conditions, access, drainage and overall constructability.
• Review and define requirements for topographic surveys, geotechnical investigations and other site studies.
• Identify and evaluate civil‑related risks and contribute to the Risk Allocation Matrix.
• Develop technical specifications, performance requirements and tender documentation.
• Evaluate bidder proposals, respond to technical clarifications and support negotiations on civil and infrastructure matters.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, architectural, environmental and HSE disciplines to ensure an integrated solution.
• Participate in site visits, workshops, bidder meetings and stakeholder consultations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Proven experience in civil engineering for large‑scale renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of site development, constructability and risk management.
