Cold Kitchen Commis – Salads & Dips

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Cold Kitchen Commis to join our team at Thalassa Greek Restaurant in Muscat. The role focuses on preparing, mixing and presenting salads, cold appetizers, dips, sauces and dressings while adhering to the highest hygiene and food‑safety standards. This is an operational position, not a management role, and offers the chance to work in a 5‑star hotel‑style environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble and present a variety of salads and cold appetizers.
• Produce fresh daily dips, sauces and dressings according to recipes.
• Maintain strict food‑hygiene and safety practices throughout all preparation stages.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling and rotation of ingredients.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to meet service timelines and quality standards.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in cold‑kitchen operations within 5‑star hotels or luxury restaurants.
• Demonstrated expertise in preparing salads, dips and related cold dishes.
• Strong understanding of food‑safety regulations and hygiene protocols.
• Good command of English for clear communication.
• Open to candidates residing in Oman or international applicants.
