About the role
The Commis 2 will support kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, cooking food, and maintaining a clean work environment in a luxury hotel setting.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and portion ingredients, wash and peel produce, weigh, measure and mix according to recipes.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers, test food for doneness and monitor quality.
- Set up and break down work stations, serve food in proper portions, and clean kitchen areas and equipment.
- Follow safety, security and company policies, report incidents and maintain professional appearance.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related food preparation experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
Required skills
- Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and food safety standards.
