Completion & Intervention Well Site Leader

About the role

The Well Site Leader (WSL) is responsible for safely delivering and completing completion and intervention operations on oil and gas wells. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, the WSL ensures that all activities are executed on schedule, meet technical standards, and adhere to health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide HSE leadership and ensure safe execution of completion, intervention, and well‑integrity operations.
• Supervise compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and BP Technical Integrity Standards.
• Audit and verify the performance of service providers and their management systems.
• Maintain completion and intervention equipment and verify its compliance.
• Contribute to well design, completion, and intervention programme planning, including logistics.
• Oversee the safe and efficient implementation of all well‑completion and intervention programmes.
• Manage site personnel and material movements to avoid operational delays.
• Produce accurate, timely reports on rig and intervention activities.
• Monitor on‑site service companies, control first‑level costs, and approve expenditures.
• Lead incident reporting, investigations, and capture lessons learned.

Required profile

• Omani national.
• High diploma or higher in engineering.
• Extensive experience in well completion and intervention operations.
• Knowledge of conventional intervention equipment such as coiled tubing, HWO, W‑line and fracturing.
• Experience with milling and fishing operations.
• Familiarity with process‑safety studies (HAZOP, HAZIP, etc.).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
