Construction Manager – Owner’s Engineer (Oman)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to act as the Owner’s Engineer on a large renewable‑energy infrastructure project in Oman. The role involves leading daily site supervision, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring that all works comply with design, quality, safety and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily site supervision and coordinate the Owner’s Engineer team across civil, electrical, renewable energy, quality, planning, HSE and document control functions.
• Monitor construction against approved drawings, specifications, inspection plans and method statements.
• Manage interfaces between contractors, discipline engineers, project stakeholders and authorities.
• Review progress, identify risks, delays, interface constraints and quality issues, and support corrective actions.
• Capture and report site observations, technical issues, quality concerns and progress updates.
• Support permit, regulatory, stakeholder and interface coordination activities.
• Act as senior site representative for the Owner’s Engineer and deputise for project leadership when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in construction management, site supervision or project delivery within power generation, renewable energy or large EPC environments.
• Prior experience on utility‑scale wind, solar PV, BESS, grid or substation projects is preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, multidisciplinary site coordination, progress monitoring, quality surveillance and interface management.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, reporting and problem‑solving abilities.
