Consultant Pediatric Intensivist

About the role

The Directorate General of Khoula Hospital is seeking a Consultant Pediatric Intensivist to provide expert clinical and administrative guidance across its network of hospitals in Muscat. This full‑time, on‑site position supports the delivery of high‑quality intensive care for children, while contributing to strategic planning, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate existing clinical processes and recommend evidence‑based improvements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex cases and program reviews.
• Review data, reports, and performance metrics to support quality improvement.
• Assist in the development and implementation of clinical protocols and operational procedures.
• Provide mentorship and training to medical and nursing staff.
• Participate in strategic planning and policy formulation aligned with national and international standards.

Required profile

• Advanced qualification in medicine (MD, MSc, MPH or equivalent) with specialization in pediatric intensive care.
• Demonstrated expertise in clinical consultation and healthcare management.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Experience in quality improvement, policy development, or hospital administration is highly beneficial.
• Professional registration and relevant certifications.
• Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
