Electrofusion Technician (HDPE) – 18‑month contract

About the role

We are seeking experienced electrofusion technicians/plumbers to join our HDPE pipe installation projects in Oman on an 18‑month contract, extendable based on project needs. The role involves performing both electrofusion and butt‑fusion of HDPE pipes and fittings while ensuring high quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrofusion and butt‑fusion on HDPE pipes and fittings according to project specifications.
• Prepare, align, and clean pipe surfaces before fusion.
• Set up, operate, and maintain fusion equipment.
• Visually and mechanically inspect fusion joints to verify quality.
• Record fusion data and maintain accurate documentation.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, isometrics, and work orders.
• Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE.
• Assist with pipe handling, site activities, and troubleshoot equipment issues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (mandatory).
• Minimum 1 year experience in HDPE fusion or pipe installation.
• Electrofusion and/or butt‑fusion certification preferred.
• Valid driving license.
• OSHA or other relevant safety training is an advantage.
