Engineering Manager

About the role

The Engineering Manager leads the hotel’s engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring all facilities run smoothly and efficiently. This role combines strategic planning, budget oversight, and cross‑department collaboration to support the hotel’s overall performance and guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to the engineering team, fostering a collaborative, high‑performance environment.
• Plan, schedule, and execute preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Assist in managing the engineering department budget, ensuring cost‑effective operations.
• Supervise engineering staff, conduct performance assessments, and deliver training.
• Work closely with other hotel departments to address technical needs for events and daily operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, implementing corrective actions to limit disruptions.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Monitor industry trends and recommend upgrades to improve energy efficiency and sustainability.
• Coordinate with external vendors for servicing, repairs, and procurement.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading an engineering or facilities team, preferably in a hospitality setting.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and budgeting.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and capacity to act quickly in emergency situations.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with multiple hotel departments.
