English Teacher

About the role

Our partner school in Muscat is seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join the team immediately. The role involves delivering high‑quality English instruction up to Key Stage 5, inspiring students, and supporting pastoral duties.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver well‑structured English lessons aligned with the school’s scheme of work.
• Assign and monitor homework in line with school policy.
• Use assessment data to track progress, set targets and plan subsequent lessons.
• Provide regular oral and written feedback, following the school’s marking policy.
• Record and analyse formative and summative assessments to ensure student progress.
• Undertake pastoral duties and attend parents’ meetings.
• Participate in curriculum, administration and professional development meetings.

Required profile

• Minimum four years of teaching experience.
• Qualified with a PGCE or equivalent experience letters covering the last four years.
• Subject‑related degree.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative team attitude.
• Passionate, enthusiastic and optimistic approach to teaching.
