Equity Research Associate – FIG / Financial Institutions

About the role

The Equity Research team is expanding its FIG/Financial Institutions coverage and seeks an Associate to work full‑time in Oman. You will research a broad range of banks, insurers, asset managers and fintech firms across CEEMEA and the GCC, interacting regularly with institutional investors.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental equity research on financial institutions and produce high‑quality investment notes.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation frameworks.
• Analyse company financial statements, earnings releases and business performance.
• Monitor market developments, regulatory changes and macro‑economic trends.
• Develop and maintain relationships with senior management and industry contacts.
• Present research findings to institutional clients and support senior team members in client meetings and roadshows.
• Travel regularly across CEEMEA, GCC and other coverage markets.
• Contribute to the growth and expansion of the research franchise.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in equity research, investment banking, asset management or a closely related analytical role.
• Strong understanding of financial institutions, their business models and valuation techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to develop differentiated investment views and engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
