Facilities Maintenance Superintendent

About the role

Amentum is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Superintendent to support the Site Manager in maintaining all operational and domestic facilities at a designated GPMS site. The Superintendent develops and runs the Facilities Maintenance Program, manages its activities and the use of subcontractors, and works in line with Amentum's ISO 9001 quality standards, FGS, job plans, SOPs, and regulations such as EPA, OSHA and WBDG.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for facilities maintenance issues, including 24/7 response requirements.
• Coordinate with the Ministry of Defense Engineering Services (MODES) and PSO for ECA assistance on MODES matters.
• Conduct site surveys, develop job plans, schedules, reports and facility history jackets, and ensure the Preventive Maintenance Program is followed.
• Manage unscheduled repairs and work orders, and assist Amentum and customer QAE staff with scheduled inspections.
• Monitor the quality and performance of subcontractors, MODES and SAF Signals, and coordinate corrective action with the Site Manager and CE Functional Manager.
• Work with the CE Functional Manager on standardized maintenance practices, provide on-the-job training, and maintain a reference library, special-level holding inventory and tool accountability.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and wear PPE as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of supervisory or management experience, preferably in the armed forces.
• Qualification in facilities maintenance engineering with competence in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, metal work, masonry, groundworks and cabling.
• Valid home country driver's licence and ability to obtain a host nation licence; US citizenship required for Secret clearance.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, travel domestically and internationally, and work in an office, shop or warehouse, sometimes outdoors.
• Preferred: 10+ years of supervisory experience, background in skilled trades, AutoCAD, Builders SMS and Maximo experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PCs, Windows and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience.
• Ability to read construction drawings and interpret modern building practices.
