Finance & Accounting Specialist – Oman

About the role

As a Finance & Accounting Specialist you will operate in a dynamic international environment, handling a wide range of financial activities from accounts payable to tax compliance. You will collaborate with vendors, banks, auditors and colleagues across the DEME Group, ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Process and post supplier invoices, ensuring timely approvals and accurate accounting records.
• Manage vendor and intercompany communications, serving as the primary contact for financial queries.
• Monitor vendor balances, perform account reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items.
• Execute weekly payment runs and prepare payment files using the company’s financial systems.
• Record bank transactions, monitor cash positions and contribute to working‑capital reporting.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including accruals, pre‑payments, revaluations and journal entries.
• Review balance‑sheet accounts, general‑ledger transactions, budgets and closing schedules for accuracy.
• Prepare tax‑related filings such as VAT, withholding tax and corporate income‑tax support.
• Provide financial information and documentation to internal and external auditors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Analytical, accurate and able to work in a structured manner.
• Proactive attitude, ownership mindset and problem‑solving orientation.
• Comfortable working in an international, multicultural environment.

Required skills
