Flow Controller I – Baggage Handling Operations

About the role

The Flow Controller I ensures smooth baggage movement across designated BHS (Baggage Handling System) zones in a fast‑paced airport environment. You will monitor conveyor flow, resolve jams, and support real‑time operations to guarantee on‑time baggage delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor baggage flow and identify potential congestion or irregularities.
• Clear bag jams safely, minimizing downtime.
• Respond immediately to system faults, alarms, and operational calls from SCADA or Shift Leaders.
• Maintain continuous communication with SCADA operators and report incidents promptly.
• Assist with manual bag handling when required to keep the system running.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities and report equipment wear.
• Enforce safety procedures, including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), and report hazards.
• Keep work areas clean and free of foreign object debris (FOD).
• Provide accurate shift handover reports and contribute to operational documentation.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–4 years of experience in industrial, logistics, or airport operations (BHS experience preferred).
• Valid driving licence (preferred/required based on site needs).
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to work under pressure, perform physically demanding tasks and adapt to noisy, hot environments.
• Strong basic English communication skills.
