Head of Regulatory Compliance (Bank)

About the role

We are seeking a senior leader to own the bank’s regulatory compliance function in Muscat, Oman. The role ensures robust governance, regulatory adherence and effective risk management across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the regulatory compliance framework, including reporting, testing and quality assurance.
• Provide authoritative advice to business units and manage engagement with regulators and senior stakeholders.
• Develop and manage the compliance team to ensure timely implementation of regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• 10–15 years’ experience in compliance, with senior regulatory compliance leadership in banking or financial services.
• Proven end‑to‑end management of regulatory returns, attestations, compliance testing and regulator engagement.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks; experience with Oman’s Central Bank (CBO) and Financial Services Authority (FSA) is highly advantageous.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, analytical and communication skills.
• Degree in Business, Law, Finance or related field; recognised compliance qualification preferred.
