HSSE Advisor – Health, Safety, Security & Environment

About the role

The HSSE Advisor will support the GM Operations, Engineering & HSSE in delivering robust health, safety, security and environmental governance across all business functions. Reporting directly to the GM, the role ensures compliance with corporate HSSE standards and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Promote HSSE training and awareness at all company levels.
• Assist line managers in implementing Health & Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
• Provide technical advice on HSSE matters to all business functions.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections across retail, commercial, terminal, logistics, aviation and office operations.
• Review and update Emergency Management Plans and lead emergency drills.
• Develop and maintain HSSE policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Assess HSSE risks, investigate incidents, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Manage ongoing HSSE activities in Oman, including annual retail site inspections.
• Liaise with statutory authorities on environmental issues and negotiate remediation standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HSSE management within a multi‑site operation.
• Strong knowledge of Omani health, safety, security and environmental regulations.
• Ability to lead audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication skills for training, reporting and stakeholder liaison.
