Legal Expert – Oman Assets

About the role

The Legal Expert will provide reliable, comprehensive, and timely legal advice on OIA’s assets in Oman. This role ensures risk mitigation, protects the interests of OIA and its affiliates, and supports the smooth operation of OIA’s subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, draft, and analyze transactional documents and contracts, negotiating as required to protect OIA’s assets.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal assessments, interpretations, recommendations, and representation to OIA’s management and its Oman entities.
• Update management and employees on relevant Oman laws and regulations.
• Select, appoint, and oversee external legal counsel to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
• Lead the OIA legal team focused on Oman assets, providing feedback, training recommendations, and performance oversight.
• Develop and execute legal strategies that align with OIA’s commercial objectives in Oman.
• Maintain organized case files and standard template documents to reduce legal risk.
• Ensure compliance with departmental policies, health, safety, and quality requirements.

Required profile

• University or graduate‑level degree in law or equivalent.
• Membership or qualification in a recognized legal society or bar association (LLM preferred but not mandatory).
