Lifeguard

About the role

The Lifeguard ensures the safety of guests at the pool area of the JW Marriott property in Muscat. You will monitor swimmers, respond to emergencies, and maintain a welcoming environment for all visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Observe swimmers and use appropriate rescue techniques when assistance is needed.
• Monitor the pool area for dangerous conditions, unsafe activities, and guests who are struggling.
• Promote and enforce facility rules and regulations.
• Provide first‑aid assistance to injured guests until emergency services arrive.
• Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck, including washing, mopping, and towel handling.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management.
• Ensure personal appearance and uniform are clean and professional.
• Assist guests with disabilities and address service needs promptly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior lifeguard experience required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb unaided and up to 75 lb with assistance.
