Lineman Technician

About the role

The Lineman Technician position is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Salalah, Oman. You will join a utility network extension contractor, working on the installation, maintenance, and repair of both overhead and underground power lines and related electrical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Set and align utility poles for new service connections.
• String and tension conductors for overhead and underground lines.
• Operate bucket trucks and other heavy equipment safely.
• Perform maintenance and repairs in substations as required.
• Assist with streetlight installation and other electrical infrastructure projects.

Required profile

• Minimum high school education with strong foundational knowledge of electricity and power distribution.
• Proven hands‑on experience in line construction or utility work.
• Ability to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and endure varying weather conditions.
• Commitment to strict electrical safety standards and proper use of PPE.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.
