Manager - PR & Brand Communications

About the role

The Manager – PR & Brand Communications will lead StrongYes Media’s engagement with PR agencies, corporate communications teams and brand storytellers across the GCC. The role aims to position StrongYes as the go‑to media destination while preserving editorial independence.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between StrongYes and PR agencies, corporate communications heads and brand teams.
• Receive, filter and evaluate incoming brand pitches, announcements and story ideas.
• Advise agencies on coverage criteria, pitching best practices and content that will not be accepted.
• Transform raw PR inputs into editorially viable story leads and identify emerging trends such as hiring, leadership, AI at work and policy shifts.
• Collaborate with editors to decide which pitches become news, insight or opinion pieces, and push back on weak or promotional content.
• Increase StrongYes’s visibility among PR professionals, communications leaders and brand teams through participation in PR forums, industry events and briefings.
• Monitor quality of pitches, repeat engagement from top agencies and influence within the PR ecosystem rather than vanity metrics.

Required profile

• 1–4 years of experience in a PR agency or corporate communications role.
• Strong exposure to UAE/GCC corporate, workplace or leadership narratives.
• Proven experience pitching stories to business or policy media.

Required skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Sharp news sense with an understanding of editorial standards.
• Ability to translate newsroom expectations to non‑media stakeholders.
