Manager – Project Management Office (PMO)

About the role

Oman Fiber Optic (OFO) is seeking an experienced Manager for its Project Management Office (PMO) to oversee a portfolio of OSP projects, including backbone and FTTH deployments. The role will drive Just‑In‑Time material planning, ensure projects meet schedule, budget and quality targets, and act as the functional lead for key system implementations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement Just‑In‑Time (JIT) material planning for backbone and FTTH projects.
• Provide program‑level oversight of all OSP projects, reporting progress, milestones, risks, revenue and budget to senior management.
• Lead project review meetings, manage risk, change control, contract variations and claims.
• Act as functional lead for EPICOR Phase 2 (Project Management Module) implementation.
• Oversee inventory control for main and virtual warehouses.
• Control project costs, ensuring material and civil expenses stay within approved budgets.
• Develop and update OSP policies, procedures and project management tools.
• Manage project closing activities, documentation and stakeholder sign‑off.
• Maintain project trackers, revenue closing, forecasting and purchase request alignment.
• Coordinate with QHSE, Omantel and Oman Broadband on audit compliance and SME contributions.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale OSP, backbone and FTTH projects.
• Hands‑on knowledge of FTTH architecture, GPON, Metro and backbone ring designs.
• Strong background in risk management, change control and contract administration.
• Experience leading ERP/PM system implementations, preferably EPICOR.
• Ability to develop and enforce project policies and continuous‑improvement processes.
