Operations & Sales Officer – Freight Forwarding

About the role

Zoom Shipping is launching a new branch in Muscat and is looking for an Operations & Sales Officer to drive freight forwarding activities. The role combines business development with end‑to‑end shipping execution, ensuring customers receive reliable service from quotation through delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new import, export and trading accounts in Oman.
• Prepare competitive freight quotations, proposals and service agreements.
• Maintain and grow client relationships to generate repeat business.
• Manage daily sea, air and land freight operations for assigned accounts.
• Prepare and verify shipping documents such as Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists and customs declarations.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, transport providers and Omani customs agents.
• Monitor shipment progress, resolve delays or operational issues and keep clients informed.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of combined sales and operations experience in freight forwarding or logistics within Oman.
• Valid Omani driver’s licence.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a strong advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of sea, air and land freight processes.
• Understanding of Omani customs procedures and shipping documentation.
