PCC Instrumentation Superintendent (Pre‑Commissioning & Commissioning)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced PCC Instrumentation Superintendent to lead all instrumentation pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities on a large LNG facility in Oman. The role is fully site‑based, focusing on field supervision, workforce coordination, safety compliance, and ensuring readiness from Mechanical Completion through start‑up and hand‑over to Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all instrumentation PCC field activities according to approved procedures and schedules.
• Manage instrument technicians, supervisors, and subcontractors on site.
• Ensure instrumentation systems are ready for pre‑commissioning, commissioning, and start‑up phases.
• Oversee instrument installation checks, loop checking, functional testing, cause‑and‑effect testing, calibration, valve testing, and analyzer commissioning.
• Verify Mechanical Completion status and drive punch‑list closure for the instrumentation scope.
• Coordinate daily activities with Construction, Electrical, Automation, Operations, HSE, and QA/QC teams.
• Support DCS, ESD, F&G, and PLC testing in collaboration with vendors and commissioning engineers.
• Enforce strict compliance with PTW systems, SIMOPS requirements, HSE procedures, and risk assessments.
• Monitor field progress, productivity, constraints, and safety performance, reporting status to the Instrumentation Lead and Commissioning Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience in oil & gas or LNG projects, with proven supervision of instrumentation during pre‑commissioning and commissioning phases.
• Hands‑on experience on large EPC projects, preferably in LNG or gas processing facilities.
• Strong field leadership and workforce management capabilities.
• Safety‑driven mindset with solid PTW and SIMOPS experience.
• Excellent communication in English and ability to work in a multicultural site environment.
