Planning Manager

About the role

Galfar Engg. & Contracting SAOG is looking for a Planning Manager in Muscat. The role covers project scheduling, reporting, budget and resource planning, and preparation of claims and audit documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update the project baseline schedule in P6, including revisions and supporting documents for the client and consultant.
• Review schedule revisions with the consultant and client and obtain their approval.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports on project statistics for the consultant, client and management.
• Prepare supporting documents such as impact schedules needed for time extension claims submitted to the contracts department.
• Prepare master budgets and revisions under the guidance of the Project Manager and Director, with the cost controller, and review them before submission for approval.
• Monitor actual costs against budget daily and monthly, report variances and propose mitigation plans.
• Prepare, update and monitor the business plan, and maintain the project resource database and monthly rolling projections of manpower and equipment via the ERP.
• Compile the daily progress report and prepare project documents required by the MSP for corporate QHSE audits.

Required profile

• B.E. in Civil Engineering.
• 12 to 15 years of relevant experience.
