About the role
The Recruitment and Training Officer will lead HR and learning initiatives at our client’s plant in Salalah. You will be responsible for deploying talent acquisition, performance management, and development programs that support the organization’s strategic goals.
Key responsibilities
- Identify current and future training needs through job analysis, performance appraisals and manager consultation.
- Design and deliver workmen training programs, induction sessions and skill‑will frameworks.
- Monitor training effectiveness, ROI and manage the training budget.
- Identify high‑potential employees using psychometric tests, development centres and 360‑degree assessments, and create Individual Development Plans.
- Coordinate leadership development programmes and ensure timely implementation of IDPs.
- Drive the performance management cycle, educate managers on PMS tools, and facilitate talent review meetings.
- Develop and maintain organograms, job descriptions and resourcing plans; supervise hiring activities and manage relationships with external agencies.
Required profile
- Post‑graduate qualification in Human Resources from a recognised institute.
- Minimum 4 years of HR/ER experience in a large industrial setting such as petrochemical, refinery or allied chemical plants.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes including training design, leadership development and performance management.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to influence functional heads.
