Regulatory Reporting Officer

About the role

The Regulatory Reporting Officer is responsible for preparing and submitting accurate regulatory reports to the Central Bank of Oman and other supervisory bodies. The role involves data extraction, analysis, and coordination with internal finance teams to ensure compliance with banking regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and submit statutory financial, statistical and liquidity reports within defined deadlines.
• Perform data reconciliation for internal finance accounts and support audit examinations.
• Analyse regulatory data, identify trends, and explain variances.
• Extract and prepare data required for internal and external reporting initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather necessary financial information.
• Ensure all reporting activities comply with bank policies, procedures and standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 0‑3 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting.
• Good understanding of banking products, operations and regulatory environment.
• Familiarity with IFRS, IAS and internal finance policies.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with OAB Systems.
• Knowledge of ERP and accounting procedures.
• Understanding of IFRS and IAS reporting standards.
