Relationship Officer – SME Banking (Salalah)

About the role

The Relationship Officer will manage and grow a portfolio of SME liability accounts in Salalah, identifying income‑generating opportunities while maintaining strong client relationships. The role supports the bank’s strategic objectives through business development, risk management and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new SME clients, promote liability products and achieve sales targets.
• Develop and maintain an annual business plan and sales budget for the assigned portfolio.
• Manage existing SME relationships, conduct regular client reviews and propose solutions aligned with bank strategy.
• Ensure compliance with group credit policy, operational guidelines and regulatory requirements, monitoring risk exposure and escalating issues.
• Drive process improvements through innovation, automation and digital solutions, and collaborate with internal teams for smooth transaction processing.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation for all client activities.
• Stay updated on bank products, industry trends and participate in learning initiatives.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Omani nationality.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of banking experience, preferably in SME Banking, Business Banking or Retail Relationship Management.
• Experience with liability products, customer acquisition and portfolio management is preferred.
