Retail Sales Intern

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Retail Sales Intern to join our store team. You will support daily operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and help maintain visual standards while gaining hands‑on experience in retail sales.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, assist them in product selection, and convert browsers into buyers.
• Promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program and follow the GUEST selling methodology (Greet, Understand, Explain, Sell, Thank).
• Ensure the store’s visual merchandising and stock layout meet company standards.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of all brand offerings to provide suggestive selling.
• Record inventory movements, handle POS transactions, and manage cash‑till procedures accurately.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and process payments via cash, credit cards, vouchers or automatic debits.
• Observe security and loss‑prevention policies, and keep sales figures confidential.
• Adapt to flexible schedules, including extended hours during sales periods and varied shifts as needed.

Required profile

• Presentable, well‑groomed and professional appearance at all times.
• Strong product knowledge and ability to minimise stock loss.
• Willingness to work extended hours and overtime during peak periods.
• Commitment to follow SOPs, loss‑prevention guidelines and confidentiality requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating POS systems and handling cash transactions.
• Basic inventory recording and reporting.
