Senior Auditor – FY'24 (Oman)

About the role

The Senior Auditor will lead audit engagements for medium and small clients and act as a semi‑senior for larger clients. The role involves planning, execution, and finalisation of audits while mentoring junior team members and ensuring high‑quality deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for audit engagements, including planning, budgeting and strategy.
• Mentor and supervise assistants, associates and trainees, providing orientation and guidance.
• Prepare and review audit documentation, financial statements, management letters and key feature memoranda.
• Conduct analytical reviews of full financial statements and high‑risk consolidation areas.
• Manage client relations, attend stock counts, and perform compliance testing.
• Clear review notes, support managers/partners in report issuance and ensure proper filing and document retention.

Required profile

• Bachelor in Commerce or equivalent.
• Professional qualifications: minimum 9 ACCA papers, 2 CPA papers, or completion of ICAEW Professional Stage.
• 2‑3 years post‑graduate experience in audit or related accounting functions.
• Strong analytical ability and customer focus.
